Residents of Hattiesburg will now see a local landmark renamed in honor of Thomas V. Fraschillo. The city has applied the name to the stage located inside the Mannoni Performing Arts Center. This change adds a specific tribute to the performing arts venue in the Hub City.

The announcement appears in the city's official community calendar for the year 2026. The document lists the renamed stage as a featured location for local events. It serves as a reference point for residents looking for cultural activities in the area.

The calendar section provides guidelines for posting events in the city. Organizers must provide a point of contact or a link for more information. This can include a website, a ticketing vendor, or a Facebook event page. All submitted events undergo a review process before publication. The city aims to approve or deny listings within 24 to 48 hours.

If an event is not approved, the city will contact the listed point of contact. While a photo is helpful for the listing, it is not required. Every event listed on this calendar must take place within the City of Hattiesburg. The city reserves the right to edit the content for final publication.

Posting an event on the calendar does not mean the city has sanctioned or sponsored the event. City sanctioning requires approval from the City Council. City sponsorship is a separate designation. However, events with those designations are also listed on this calendar. Submitting a listing is distinct from filing for a permit to use city property or streets.
