Musk warns of three Democratic moves that could end democracy
The billionaire detailed his fears regarding statehood, immigration, and the Supreme Court in a post urging voters to support GOP senators.

Elon Musk issued a stark warning this week about the political future of the United States. He told voters that a full Democratic takeover in 2028 could lead to a permanent one-party state.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO outlined three specific actions he believes Democrats would take if they control the House, Senate, and Presidency. He identified these moves as the primary threats to American governance.
First, Musk argued that Democrats would grant statehood to Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. He stated this would give the party a strong majority in the Senate. Second, he predicted the party would legalize immigrants living in the country without status. He described this as a way to secure a lasting electoral advantage.
The third proposed move involves expanding the Supreme Court. Musk said Democrats would add justices to secure an immediate majority on the nation's highest court. He wrote that these combined steps would mark the end of democracy in any meaningful sense.
Musk emphasized that Republicans need to hold at least 51 Senate seats after the 2028 elections. He called on voters to prioritize this goal above all other reasons when choosing candidates in the upcoming midterms.
The warning comes as Musk pours substantial resources into Republican campaigns. His America PAC confirmed earlier this month that he contributed $276 million to Republican super PACs and organizations over the previous three months. This total includes $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund and $10 million to Lone Star Liberty PAC.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responded to Musk’s financial involvement on social media. She accused the billionaire of using his wealth to influence the midterms in favor of President Trump. She noted that his millions might not be enough to counteract reality.
