Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on Feb. 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper confirmed the announcement on Monday for the game scheduled at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z's management company, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The company recently signed a five-year extension that keeps it in charge of the event through 2029. Since taking over, the performances have shifted toward hip-hop and rap. Last year's show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara featured Bad Bunny, with guest appearances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.
Los Angeles has hosted the halftime show twice previously. The 2022 event included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, with cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. More recent performers include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023. Despite his ties to the league and past headliners, Jay-Z has never performed at a Super Bowl halftime show before.
The 25-time Grammy winner has spent 2026 touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album 'Reasonable Doubt' and the 25th anniversary of 'The Blueprint.' The Jay-Z 30 Tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He then played two shows in London and one in Paris in September.
Jay-Z's final scheduled tour dates were Oct. 23 and 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those concerts took place just weeks before the announcement, meaning the venue will serve as a direct rehearsal space for the upcoming Super Bowl performance.
