Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation announced the booking on Monday night. The performance is scheduled for February 14. This marks the first time the hip-hop icon will lead the halftime festivities. He previously held a behind-the-scenes role as a producer and advisor for the event.

Roc Nation has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to help produce the league's entertainment presentations. Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, has won 25 Grammy Awards and received 89 nominations. His wife, Beyoncé, holds the record for the most nominations with 89. She has performed at two Super Bowls. His catalog includes albums such as Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, and The Black Album. Hit songs include Hard Knock Life, 99 Problems, and Empire State of Mind.

When Roc Nation first joined the NFL in 2019, Jay-Z told Commissioner Roger Goodell, “If this is about me performing at the Super Bowl, then we can just end this conversation now.” Seven years later, the rapper is stepping into the spotlight. He closed his Jay-Z 30 concert tour in Southern California over the weekend. The tour began at Yankee Stadium in New York and continued in London before ending in Inglewood.

Jay-Z co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records and established Roc Nation in 2008. The company now manages artists and athletes. He became the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. He joined the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. His 1996 debut album, Reasonable Doubt, entered the Grammy Hall of Fame last year.

Bad Bunny performed at the Super Bowl in February 2026. His songs saw sharp gains across streaming charts and playlists in the hours following that show.
